I am a mixed media artist from Auckland. I spent my childhood growing up in Melbourne, Australia and it was here where I fell in love with anything to do with art and creativity. I was quite happy to spend many hours drawing and painting and getting lost in my own imagination. So it was only natural that my career was going to lead me onto a creative path. I am a trained graphic designer, with a design career spanning over 12 years. I have worked in advertising, magazines, brand identity and corporate design and four years as a freelance designer in London. However a few years ago I decided it was time to pursue my dream of becoming an artist.
I work in acrylic paint, drawing media, collage and print making. Working in mixed media gives me the freedom to developed my own style and nature is the under-lying theme explored throughout my artwork. The observations I record of the natural environment; colours, shapes and the intricacies of patterns are incorporated into my artworks.
I have attended a number of art shows throughout New Zealand including the
New Zealand Art Show and the Christchurch Art Show.
